Topic: Does the frequency range of the converter up to 96 kHz?

Hello!
I have a question about the real frequency range of the sound interface. In the technical specifications for the Fireface 802 the frequency range is up to 96 kHz at a sample rate of 192 kHz of line and microphone input. Does this mean that when an ultrasonic microphone is connected in micropone input, the interface converters convert all frequencies up to 96 kHz from analog to digital?

Re: Does the frequency range of the converter up to 96 kHz?

Of course. The tech specs usually refer to a specific drop at a then measured frequency:

- Frequency response @ 192 kHz, -1 dB: 5 Hz – 92 kHz

So a little 1 dB loss at 92 kHz. The anti-alisiang filter of the ADC just starts to work. Between 92 and 96 kHz there will be a sharp drop (mostly at 95 kHz).

The Instrument input behaves a bit different. Due to its high impedance and to prevent different possible problems the frequency response is softly limited a bit earlier:

- Frequency response @ 192 kHz, -1 dB: 5 Hz – 55 kHz
