Topic: ADI-2 DAC SAMPLING RATES BELOW 44.1 kHz

I run my RME ADI-2 DAC via usb from my iMac (macOS High Sierra) using the latest version of iTunes, everything is working as expected except for a few very old songs with a sampling rate that is below 44.1 kHz, sadly they don’t sound well and have a lot distortions and dropouts plus strange sounds in short “Total Chaos”, my question is: is there a simple and short workaround for this problem?

The ADI-2 DAC's internal clock only supports 44.1, not lower sample frequencies.

See handbook chapter 14.1.2.
