Topic: Using interface input in Windows applications

I'm trying to use one of the mic inputs on my Fireface 802 for Windows 10 applications (like Discord/Skype) via WDM. But for some reason, signals on mic input (I tested channels 9+10) do not seem to pass into Windows' audio system.

The signals can be monitored fine in the TotalMix FX window and they can also be used in ASIO applications. But the corresponding WDM device "Analog (9+10)" in the Windows program "Sound" does not pick up any signal (and thus any non-ASIO software is unable to get that signal).

What could be the problem here?
