Topic: Any plans or requests to convert sampling rates in devices

Hello RME,

I am using several RME devices. Sometimes I miss a feature to even work with 44.1kHz if I use as well an S/PDIF input which I get and synchonize at 48kHz.

The RME devices are unable by default to work with one sampling rate and convert any other digital input to the "master", right?

Any plans for this topic? Am I the only one who need this?
Any alternative to not use another device to convert 48kHz to 44.1kHz before working with the device?

I believe the ADI2pro can do this (not 100% sure, so check before buying ;-) . It is a bit expensive for this goal alone but it is a flagship converter.

I have no experience with both.
OTOH, I would think that with current converter quality it might be just as good to attach a 48k device via it's analogue outs.
Sound on sound magazine, once called analogue the universal digital connection.
I have an A5000 yamaha sampler I sometimes use. It has digital out but no sync input so I need to clock my whole system to it. I recorded some parts digital and analogue and I could not hear any difference.

Thank you for all the ideas.

I didn´t know the ADI2pro feature. This is exactly what I would like to see in e.g. Fireface UCX or Babyface Pro. The ADI2pro might has too less channels. But I will recheck my requirements.
