Topic: MacBook Pro unresponsive for around 20sec after disconnecting UFC/UC

If I disconnect my interfaces (UFX/UC) from my MacBook Pro 13" i5 2016 (Touch Bar) it becomes unresponsive for around 20 seconds. Is this I known problem (search only brought up threads complaining about non working interfaces)?

Besides that everything is working fine.
I tried different cables, ports and adapters and am running the latest RME driver. (It also happened with older drivers)
MacOS version is 10.14.3 Mojave but it happened on every Mojave release so far.

This is Apple's current solution to the 'disconnect' problem (a reset of the USB bus after disconnect, takes some time), but strangely does not work with all Macs.

Thank you Matthias,

do you now if it is possible to manually reset (terminal command?) the USB bus to get rid of this waiting time?
Maybe a script can do the trick.
