I have a Fireface 800 that works fine on my 2012 Macbook Pro with High Sierra, but I am unable to launch it on my Dell M4800 Laptop with StarTech EC13942A2 2 Port ExpressCard 1394a FireWire Laptop Adapter Card.

The drivers seem to load okay, and the icons are visible on the task/start bar but the programs won't launch.

Additionally, I have a 4U, ATX Format, Rackmount Computer, built in 2007, with Abit IP35Pro MB and Q6600 processor.     It's apparently too old to run Windows 10.....and I'd like to still use my Fireface 800.     Looking for recommendations......
Should I scrap the insides of that rackmount and replace ?
