RME User Forum → FireWire & USB series → fireface ucx left speaker stopped working...
so all of a sudden my left speaker is VERY LOW .... i have no idea why it is doing this and i've never had this problem before. is there some setting I am missing ?
i plug in my headphones and the signal is perfect as well ... i dont know why it's coming out unbalanced on my monitors. but in the headphones it's perfect.
did my interface just break¿ :0
Have you tried all analog output pairs? The device may need service...

yes ive tried testing the other outputs and it's the same result. where does one send it to get it serviced?
To be 100% sure if you swap your L and R output cables on the fireface the non working spaeker swaps too?
If yes it is happening in the fireface, so try a reset of totalmix.
If no, so the same speaker stays soft, it is happening after the fireface, and it is a cable or your monitor controller.
man i feel stupid .... lol thank you for the knowledge on troubleshooting a simple thing

Great! But don't feel stupid. A mild scare is enough to loose the ability to troubleshoot. It is somewhat of an art, to troubleshoot against ones dark suspicions ;-)
