Topic: RAYDAT + ADA8000 headphones

Hello all, I am the new owner of a RAYDAT. I have everything working great with my Behringer ADA8000. ASIO works and also direct sound for Windows, so I am very satisfied. My firewire woes have officially been taken out back and put out of their misery.

Anyway, I was about to buy a headphone amplifier even though at the moment I don't need multiple headphone outputs, but can't I just get a Y cable and plug it into outputs 3+4 and have outputs 3+4 mirror outputs 1+2 in the RME TotalMix routing? Would this work?

I found a cable on eBay - 2 mono 1/4 inch TRS male to 1 Stereo 1/8 inch female. So it would be output 3+4 -> Y-Cable -> Headphones. Is that a viable solution?

Thanks in advance.

Re: RAYDAT + ADA8000 headphones

You want to use the ADA8000 line outputs. This will not damage the unit, but the internal output impedance is too high, so you will have only low volume, and might also notice a change in sound (depends on the used headphone).
