Topic: Babyface Pro and Fireface400

Hello,

I'm looking to get a Babyface Pro for travelling etc. I already own a Fireface 400, still going strong after 12 or so years!

Is it possible to connect the Fireface to the Babyface Pro (via lightpipe/ADAT etc) to get more inputs?

Yes you only need to check the manual whether the FF400 supports to load the last setup when operating in standalone mode.

Otherwise you need the Firewire connection permanent not only for the initial configuration of routing and clock setting.

You will need 2 TOSLINK cables as only the adat inputs can receive a clock signal.

Excellent thanks, the manual appears to say it will retain settings in stand alone mode, so all good!

I'll be very happy if I can extend the life of the FF400 a few more years smile
