Topic: Routing external PC to Main Out

Hi, it's the first time for me here so I'd like to say hello everyone.
I recently purchased a Babyface soundcard and I have some problem with the routing inside the dedicated software TotalMix.
So at the moment my setup is:
-Main desktop PC connected via USB to the Babyface.
-Speakers output are on analog 1/2.
-I also have headphones in the main headphones out on the side of the unit.
My question is: since I often work on an external laptop, how can I quickly route the output of the laptop in the main speakers without being forced to pull out the usb and reconnect it ? Which cable do I need and how should I set up TotalMix ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Routing external PC to Main Out

You can connect the other PC either analog or digital via optical SPDIF if your internal soundcard should support this.

TM FX routing, see here in my blog (TM FX primer) and on RME videos (see 2nd URL)

Also the handbook contains a description about TM FX.
