Topic: External output signal duplicated in TotalMix

When I route the output of a track in Ableton to one of the FF802's outputs, TotalMix shows the signal on all hardware outputs.

Any idea why that is?

I'm on TotalMix 1.6 - FF802 Driver 3.15, Firmware v15

Thanks

Re: External output signal duplicated in TotalMix

Either you redo all submixes or reset the mixer, first partially or completely.

a) first make a backup of your settings

TM FX: save routing to one of the 8 snapshots spaces "notok"
TM FX: File -> Save Snapshot as -> "notok"
TM FX: File -> Save Workspace as -> "notok"
TM FX: Workspace Quick Select -> Save Current Workspace as -> 30 .. Backup

b) partial reset of mix

TM FX: Options -> Reset Mix -> Clear all submixes
TM FX: Options -> Reset Mix -> Straight playback with all to Main Out

If you want to start over and reset even more

c)  Total Reset

TM FX: Options -> Reset Mix -> Total Reset
TM FX: Options -> Reset Mix -> Straight playback with all to Main Out

Re: External output signal duplicated in TotalMix

Thank you! I went straight to total reset and it solved the issue.

Re: External output signal duplicated in TotalMix

If you want / need you may take some suggestions from my TM FX primer and the very nice RME video tutorials

Especially the new chapter in my primer about how to easiest copy a submix or making one to the source of one or more other could help you in setting it up more easily and eventually more smarter if you can make use of the mirror submix function.

Then you only need to make the routing i.e. for Main Out and make then Main Out as source for one or more phones submixes. Then you save operational time because changes on the source (Main Out) are then directly into effect for the "mirrors" of the source.
