Topic: Can Babyface Pro program MIDI devices over the MIDI breakout cable?

I'm considering getting the Behringer FCB1010 MIDI Foot Controller, which I need to program with a software editor on a Mac. This controller only has MIDI DIN plugs, not USB.

I own a RME Babyface Pro audio interface which connected to my Mac. I'm however not sure if the RME Babyface Pro can program external devices over the MIDI breakout cable? Obviously it can send and retrieve MIDI for music purposes but what about this task? Do you think I would instead need a USB-MIDI Cable or even a USB–MIDI host/expander?

No this will work with your BFP. It is an excelent fully functioning midi interface
