Topic: Input stream to Playback channel(s) disappearsin certain circumstances

I am running an HDSP(e) aio card on Windows 7.  When I start the computer and immediately open a browser and get a sound stream, for example from you tube or whatever, the TotalMix picks it up in one of the "Playback" channels and I can route it anywhere, no problem.  However, if I stop the stream and use other unrelated programs, say, Word, and I then come back and restart TM and a browser input stream again, nothing appears on any TM channel.  No input at all, and I've tried three different browsers.

Curiously, if I use an input stream from a program that has its own DSP, like TIDAL (online) or a player like JRiver, there is no problem -- TM picks up the stream fine.

Any ideas?

Do you save your routing in snapshots ?

Check the Windows Default Playback Device in the Sound panel.
