Topic: Does the babyface pro run "hot" when idle?
Lets say I set the pre's on the babyface to 50% and then leave my computer running all day. Does the unit preamps stay running hot or is there some kind of system which turns them off when idle?

There is no idle detection, but the unit also doesn't run 'hot' internally.
Sorry if this is dumb question. But for example with my old Focusrite interface, if I turned the volume or preamp knob to say "5" and left it that way for a few hours, I recall that area may be hot to the touch. So despite being idle the preamps were running "hot".
I suppose perhaps I should pose this question - is there any benefit to turning the volume and preamps back to 0 after a recording session? Or can I just leave as is and there is no difference?
No difference.
