Topic: CANNOT RECOGNIZE UCX after system wipe

Hi there,

I have had to wipe my laptop hard disk with no usable time machine, so I need to reinstall driver for my UCX.

I did the security clearance. Reinstall many times, but still cannot recognize my RME....

I try to manually open the apps (though i know it may not be useful), RME settings app doesnt start (maybe it doesnt recognized UCX?)

Do I need to reset the UCX in order to use the new driver?

I am running on Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6.

Please help!

Thank you

Re: CANNOT RECOGNIZE UCX after system wipe

UCX could be set for CC mode, see your user manual for help navigating the front panel controls.

Re: CANNOT RECOGNIZE UCX after system wipe

Hi Thanks for the help...

But I do wish to use the Totalmix.... please advice how to use it properly with the driver firmware...

Re: CANNOT RECOGNIZE UCX after system wipe

I found the old driver CD (2016 driver) and got it to work now!

But is it because my firmware on the UCX is old, so it cannot recognize the new driver?

Re: CANNOT RECOGNIZE UCX after system wipe

What Jeff meant is that your unit was / is / might be set to CC mode. Then you need to disable that. In CC mode driver and TM FX will not load.

The firmware version doesn't matter.
