Topic: DC Coupling on FF400 - has anyone used it successfully?

I read that my FF400 will output analogue voltages from the FF400 Headphone/7&8 Out socket. I have a few quick questions for anyone wise and experienced in this feature:

1) Is this claim factually correct?
2) How do I set the FF400 up to output DC voltage?
3) How to I control the level of voltage I want to output (e.g. for using with inputs to analogue synthesizers?)

I would be grateful for some help here please.

1. Yes.
2. Not necessary.
3. With the normal fader/volume control of that output in TotalMix FX.

And, perhaps obvious, you also need software that can output that DC level...

I've tried it. It works.

Haven't really done anything with it, as I was planning to control external VCA's with it. But that didn't make much sense if you can use Totalmix to control levels and can spare the extra 2 I/O to route through the FF400.
