Easy. Simply plug 2 cables for in and out instead of four.
By this you can only record with 44.1/48 kHz otherwise with 88.2/96 kHz you will loose 50% of channels by multiplexing. Because 2 ADAT channels @48 kHz form a 96 kHz channel by multiplexing.
Much better choice for you would have been to get the UFX+ with MADI and to connect a Pulse 16 MX by MADI with a OM4 multimode fiber cable.
The UFX+ has now a much reduced price of only €2183 ... compared to €2700 when it first hit the market.
UFX II costs €1999. I am wondering why people do not spend only €184 more to get the UFX+ with MADI, USB2/3 and Thunderbolt.
If you connect the UFX+ via USB2 then it's the same 30/30 channel interface like the UFX II.
So it's extremely versatile in use.
MADI supports 64 channels @44.1/48 kHz
32 channels @88.2/96 kHz and
16 channels @192 kHz.
Only ridiculous €184 more and you get a lot of possibilities more. Also the MADI Version of the Pulse 16 does not cost that much more. Also around €200 or less.
If you still havery the opportunity then give back UFX II and get UFX+ with MADI.
Think about it ... with Madi you can connect up to 4 Pulse 16 MX @44.1/48 kHz or Mic pramps and then you have still the two adat ports free.
