Topic: Glitches on MacBook Pro 2019 + RME UC (update didn't help)

I’ve recently bought a 2019 macbook pro. I took it for a spin last weekend to record my band’s new material and... it turned out to be a complete disaster.

I’ve used 7 audio tracks & one midi track with drum samples. No other plugins. There were no visible cpu spikes. In the beginning (up until when we had around 2h of recorded material) everything worked fine, but then the glitches started to be more aparent. I thought the overload bug was sorted out?!

I’m on the Mac Os 10.14.6 with the most up to date RME UC drivers and firmware installed. I’m using Ableton 10.1.1. The audio buffer was set to 512. My computer is macbook pro 15’’ (i9 2.3, 16GB, 512 SSD).

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem?

Thanks!

Had audio glitches too with my UC when connecting it to my MBP via a USB-C dongle. Connecting it straight to a port solved the issue for me.

Thanks, alq! What do you mean by "straight to a port"? You use a usb to thunderbolt adapter, right?

Or in other words USB-C to USB-A, yes.
