Topic: Fireface UFXII and Cubase 10.0.40

Hi Guys,

I have Mac Sierra 10.12.6 and Cubase 10.0.40. My UFX II is: USB 19, DSP 11, CC 7 and the drivers are 3.18.
I use 96khz projects but every sample rate I chose from 44 to 192 khz, Ufx II can use 2048 samples max and no 4096 in the list too. Does anyone know why and how to use 4096 samples with Cubase?
Please help me, all the best

Re: Fireface UFXII and Cubase 10.0.40

The higher the sample rate, the more data the system has to process.
Therefore you need bigger ASIO buffers.
But you do not need 4096 at 44.1/48 ....

Look ...

Normal sample rate: 44.1/48 kHz -> ASIO Buffer size range: 32 .. 2048
Double speed         : 88.2/96        -> ASIO Buffer size range: 64 .. 4096
Quad speed            : 192    6        -> ASIO Buffer size range: 128 .. 8192

In the driver you have the needed ASIO buffersize for each of the sample rates according to the throughput of data.
It makes no sense to introduce higher ASIO buffersizes for 44.1/48, because more is not needed and
RTL would become too bad. It is already >90ms at ASIO buffersize of 2048.
