Topic: Fireface 400 Mods ?

Hi Guys,

I'm still using a FF400 and am wondering what the forum thoughts are on some of the mods available.  There are a few companies offering mods to "improve" the sound quality from what I understand, and I assume with the device being a bit old now there would be some wise look-back advice to be had from the forum.  I need to get the rotary encoder replaced anyway so I was pondering maybe having a mod done in the process.  I'm more interested in potential mixing improvements than recording/preamp aspects (as I tend to run SPDIF and/or use samples).

There is absolutely nothing to improve. The included AD/DA chips set the limit for 'quality', or SNR/THD/FR etc. And these can not be changed. Everything else (new caps, new op amps) is wasted money.
