Topic: writing programs to access HDSPe MADI FX onboard dsp

Since totalmix FX doesn't allow any plugins:

Have anyone tried to or is there any existing write a program with basic functions to access the onboard DSP processor of HDSPe MADI FX?

Re: writing programs to access HDSPe MADI FX onboard dsp

I don't think that this is possible as the one FPGA is for the firmware and routing matrix etc
and if the interface has FX, then the 2nd FPGA is for these FX and not to be used for 3rd party applications.

How would you like to bring such functionality in there btw .. its a FPGA, you would need to reprogram the whole
FPGA .. do you think its feasible that RME and 3rd party both reprogram on a FPGA ?

The FPGA is a programmable CPU, not a mult-ipurpose CPU like in a PC with fix structure, arithmetic units etc ...

The MADI FX does have a dedicated DSP for the FX (not the routing, that is done in the virtual DSP of the FPGA). There does not exist any API or access to our hybrid solution (nor any other). That is not our business model.
