Topic: Feedback signal lamp indicating talkback is active

I really like the possibility to connect external switches over the ARC USB to provide a PTT switch for everyone in the control room. What would be really amazing is to have a external led lamp signalling when talkback is active/open. Is there a way to connect this to the UFX/ARC? If there is no direct way to do this may that be realized via Midi?

The Arc has the Jack in where you could connect some Pedal for talkback.

Other than that Total Mix can be controlled via MIDI or OSC which gives you plenty of options.

We are using Max for receiving and sending OSC. Through that most of Total Mix can be controlled, (also through any iPad, MIDI Controller etc.).

Max connects well to micro controllers (e.g. Arduino) which can be used to switch some normal power sockets with a simple Relais or some DMX interface controlling lights etc.

It is highly customisable but it requires some patching etc.

Hi hselters,

thanks for your reply. The switches and footswitches are already working fine connected to ARC USB.

The use of OSc for triggering a 'Talkback active' light seems to be an interesting option although I hoped there would be an even simpler option.

What exactly is 'Max' in your setup?

Best,
Alex
