Topic: Channel mismatch and distorted audio in DAW

Hi,

All over sudden I am not able to record audio using several DAWs (Ableton, Reason) anymore. The incoming sound is just distorted.
I am using the Fireface UFX+ and updated to the latest firmware (from v47 to v49) after this started happening.
I am running on Catalina (10.15.1).

When I monitor audio in through Totalmix, I get a clean sound on channel 5 (where the instrument is coming in)
In my DAW (Ableton) I see audio coming in on channel 3 and 5 (100% no instrument coming in on channel 3 which is weird), both 3 and 5 sound distorted but coming from the synth.

Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas how I can further debug?

Another piece of information:

When audio comes into 5, I also see signal on 3 in the DAW but not in TotalMix.
When audio comes into 6, I also see signal on 4 in the DAW but not in TotalMix.
When audio comes into 4, I also see signal on 2 in the DAW but not in TotalMix....

After a few restarts this problem disappeared, so all is good again.
