Topic: 10.14.6 fireface ufx+ not recognized

as per the title. I try to describe shortly here.

I have the 2,3 GHz Intel Core i5, MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)

I just installed osx 10.14.6 and the UFX+ is not recognized. I have the 339 drivers incl totalmix 1.64. I checked the security and privacy settings, and allowed apps from RME, which was blocked. Re-started. No luck. Unplugged the USB to thunderbolt3 adapters in all variations. Checked all ports. Powered off the device. Re-started with UFX+ on and UFX+ off and then on. Unplugged and re-plugged the USB of the rear side of UFX+. It's just not recognized. The cables has experienced no heavy usage during the time of installation.

What else can I try? Upgrade to 10.15?

You also need to enable the app the audio is going to. Eg, your DAW.

I don't understand this. The device should first of all be recognized at all by the OSx. It's not. If I check the the thunderbolt ports, it's not connected.

Is the RME hardware detected at all in the System Information app (Applications/Utilities)?

That’s the flash update / firmware update tool. You need to install the USB driver.

You misunderstood. Select "Thunderbolt" or 'USB" in the hardware section, then see if the UFX+ is shown.

Wrong driver, this is for FireWire.

The RME driver for the UFX+ Thunderbolt is v1.12.
