I apologise if his has been asked before, I suspect it probably has, but I wanted to confirm 100% that what I'm about to do will work without issue.

I'm running Windows 10/ProTools V11/V13 and I currently have an Apollo X8; can I connect the second TB3 port on my Apollo to a TB3 to TB2 adapter, TB2 to FW adapter, FW cable to my FF800? I want to use my FF800 for TotalMix only really, bus mixes and ins/outs, rather than audio to/fro ProTools, and my concern was how the RME drivers on my laptop would "see" the FF800 at the end of the Thunderbolt chain and therefore allow me to install/use TotalMix.

I needed to know if this'll work before I sell my UFX (which was doing the FF800 job, albeit connection via USB).
