Topic: front four inputs on UFX as line level inputs?

Hello!
I just got a UFX+ and I have 12 external preamps that I want to record. For the first eight of course I'll use the inputs on the back of the UFX+, but I want to know if I can bypass the preamp on the front four XLR/TRS inputs and use them the same way as the ones on the back?

Thanks a lot!

The front XLR inputs are fully line compatible. Technically there is no need to bypass anything, just set them to 0 dB gain.  The front TRS inputs within the XLR are unbalanced, though.

Thank you!

I can't give it 0 db gain, it stops at 8 db when I turn the gain knob. Am I missing something?

Turn off 48v (phantom power) and/or INST (instrument) switches for these channels and you can then set gain to 0dB.

Hey Mathias and Jeff,
Is this also true for the UFX v1?

Thank you,
