Is there any sound improvement in the updated Babyface Pro FS?
A friend is selling his BFP, but maybe I should still wait and buy an updated device.
I need maximum sound quality.
Or the sound quality remain exactly the same?
I'm especially interested in the headphones sound.

Ah ok then I misunderstood, thought that you have already one and think about upgrading.
Well converter quality these days is already quite high and it depends on several factors whether the one or other gives you an advantage. It depens on several factors:
- room treatment
- quality of other equipment like monitors, phones
- listening capabilities
The best advice that I can give to you is to try it out on your own.
Or simply look and decide whether one of the new features are important for you like ie selectable reference level.

I understood your question.
But it's very subjective and you need to find this out yourself for the reasons that I mentioned (with your own ears and environment).
Unfortunately, I don't have the opportunity to compare personally, because I'll order from another country.

Perhaps Thomann Germany offers also 30d money back for your country. Simply ask.
The changes according to webpage go all into the direction of better quality (SNR, THD, ...) and by more power also more freedom in the selection of phones in terms of impedance.
IMHO all features together justify to go for the new device.
Improvements also on Mic inputs, less latency, the possibility to switch outputs to +4 dBu etc etc

how did you solve it?
AFAIK, biggest improvements are related mainly to input latency, lower THD and lower jitter.
The later 2 have some relationship with "sound quality", jitter @higher frequencies .Whether you (or a lot of people) could notice the difference is another story.
My experience is that using the best quality audio components starts to show on busy projects with lots of tracks, where small nuances start to add up into something audible. But, again it's just about your ears.
