Topic: RME Babyface Pro standalone: Usage as mixer and effect unit

I'm interested in getting the RME Babyface Pro.

I read that it can be used in standalone mode. Would it be possible to e.g. connect it to DJ mixers send & return and use the built in effects? Could I basically use the device as a effect unit (similar to effect pedals) without computer?

Or differently explained: Could I route Babyface Pro inputs through the built in effects and then to it’s output; all in standalone without a computer?

And can I control the internal parameters like EQ and effects via MIDI in standalone?

Nothing to important for me, but it would be definitely a nice bonus and make my decision easier for to buy it.

Only EQ and mixing is built-in. And even EQ is not controllable in stand-alone mode, so the answer to all your requests is an unfortunate no.

Ah no problem. I still tend to get the Babyface Pro smile

I think for a future model this functionality would be awesome. It would make the babyface even more flexible.
