Topic: FF400 + Thinkpad + Thunderbolt + Apple adapters

I wanted to keep using my FF400 with my T480 notebook.
The T480 has a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port and I had to put two adapters in series to connect the FF400:
- Apple Thunderbolt 3 to TB 2 adapter
- Apple TB2 to Firewire 800 adapter
and finally the 800/400 Firewire adapter/cable
With the latest firmware and software update from Lenovo this setup seems to work quite reliably.
Check this info:

I checked the system using DPC latency monitor from thesycon.de and I am getting stable DPC latencies around 1 ms (with previous FW versions I had latency spikes every 12 seconds).
DAW: Samplitude, Reaper, Wavelab, Arta, Systune works fine so far. Further testing has to be done...

DPC Latency Monitor does not work correctly under W10, it is limited to 1 ms (as you saw). That's why everybody changed to Resplendence.

Re: FF400 + Thinkpad + Thunderbolt + Apple adapters

Thanks for the info - I was wondering why the Latency on my old Win7 machine is much lower...
But the thesycon tool timeline was handy to find out the periodic spikes I had before.

Using Resplendence I have around 0.5 ms max. latency with ASIO transfer active.
