Topic: Fireface400 doesn’t work with a connection hub in my MacBook Pro

Hello.

I have a Fireface 400 and a Macbook Pro only with 2 thunderbolt 3 connectors...

So i bought the 2 adapters needed to plug it with the computer...and it works nicely...(its also connected to the power supply)

I bought a hub with 2 thunderbolts, 3 usb and 1 hdmi...because i need to connect several things at the same time...

1- Thunderbolt 3 - MacBook Power Supply

2- Thunderbolt 3 - Fireface 400

3- HDMI - TV

4 - Usb - eLicenser Cubase 10.5

5 - Usb - Akai Midi Controller

6 - Usb - Wireless Keybord + Mouse

The only thing that is not working is the Fireface 400...i get a message saying that the accessory needs more power...

Has any one experienced a similar issue?? What can you recommend??

Thanks in advance.

To be clear on this, are you using a separate power supply which is dedicated for the FF400 ?
Is this the original RME power supply for an FF400 ? Whats the model name ?
Otherwise which specs does the power supply have ?

BR Ramses - UFX III, 12Mic, XTC, ADI-2 Pro FS R BE, RayDAT, X10SRi-F, E5-1680v4, Win10Pro22H2, Cub13

Hi.

Yep it is the original power supply that comes with the Fireface 400...

Its very weird because if i connect it without the hub it works perfectly...only when i use the hub is  when i get the error message...

Re: Fireface400 doesn’t work with a connection hub in my MacBook Pro

The message likely refers to one of the USB devices... Try disconnecting everything and then connect back one by one.

Is that one of these cheap small fake TB3 hubs for under 100 bucks?
