Topic: RME BabyFace entring double in Cubase

hello all, im new here and to RME Babyface.
im trying to record acoustic guitar with the instrument input. the problem that in CUBASE im getting "double' signals: one from HARDWARE INPUTS and the other from SOFTWARE PLAYBACK. when im playing with them both ON its getting messy and overdrive, so i have to mute one of them in order to get a clean sound. the problem is that HARDWARE INPUT giving me diffrent sound than the SOFTWARE PLAYBACK.
Sould i leave on of them in mute? which one is better? or any other solutions are welcome, thanks a lot!

Hello,

this doesn't really make sense, there is no way the software playback signal can get into Cubase... Or are you referring to the monitoring in Totalmix? If so, you will indeed have to choose between the direct input signal and the software monitoring through the DAW.
