Topic: Different icon + AN1 vs AN1/2

I downloaded driver for my Babyface Pro from the website.
On my friend's Dell Inspiron, I installed it in 2018 and the icon looks different - https://2c1cd1ca-a-62cb3a1a-s-sites.goo … age003.png
On my Dell Inspiron, I installed it this month and it looks different - (only one link allowed)

Also, in the older install, the software playback seems set on AN1
While in the newer one, it is set on AN1/2

I have no idea what is going on please help! Thanks a lot

It is quite common that the design of programs or even icons changes over time.
This is also the case with cars and many other things.
And - besides design - what is exactly the problem with that?

No, you can add as many links to a post as you want. If there is a restriction, then on the file hoster side, not RME forum side. Try this: https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/ind … rum-EN-DE/

Maybe you used the older TotalMix on the old installation, where all channels were mono if I remember right.
Now you have TotalMix FX and you can decide whether two channels will become mono or whether you want to combine them to stereo. Click to the tool symbol in TM FX and there you will detect a stereo button which you can enable and disable.

Simply browse the manual by searching for "Stereo", then you will sooner or later reach chapter 21.3 where you can find information about the stereo button.

There are also reset mixer options to set all channels to mono or stereo and some other useful reset options.
