Topic: Defective unit? Non stop/white noise & hissing sound? (Babyface Pro)
I recently bought a Babyface Pro and noticed a non stop white noise and hissing sound during my recordings with it. At first I figured maybe it was the microphone's problem (SM7B) or bad cables (to be fair, I had no issues with them in my other USB interface). I tried different microphones, cables, still kept hearing this white noise and hissing. I even unplugged the microphones from the Babyface Pro, and to my surprise, there is still white noise and hissing coming from the interface with nothing plugged in! I did a google search and seen a few other posts from people saying they have the same issues and had defective units. So what do I do? Get it replaced? For the price, I expected quiet preamps not this... even my Audient (which is cheaper) is very quiet and doesn't produce such noise/hiss.
