Topic: USB error counter Mac / alternative USB connection check (long cable)

I guess there are reasons why the USB Diagnosis display in the settings dialog is not shown under Mac OSX.
Is there any alternative way to check if the USB connection is working 100% error-free?
Want to test longer USB cables for the Madiface Pro (recommendations welcome, looking for around 5m without hub) ...
