Topic: DC power supply vs USB power - for headphones impedance (BFPro FS)

Hi folks! I have a pair of Sennheiser HD600 headphones. Their impedance is 300 omhs.

I have my new BabyFace Pro FS.

I was wondering if I will get better results on my headphones if powering through DC instead of by USB. My main concern is not db volume, but the frequency spectrum (that the HD600 is representing each frequency as it should / as engineered by Steinberg). Since I will not be using a headphones pre-amp, I need to know if the BabyFace Pro FS will provide enough power not to use a a pre-amp, when connected by USB, and if not, will it be able if connected through DC? Or none of the two and definitely need a pre-amp to to enjoy the HD600s as they were intended?

Thanks!

Re: DC power supply vs USB power - for headphones impedance (BFPro FS)

AFAIK .. Either the BBF Pro works or not .. D/A converter get the energy that they require from Power, no matter whether this is a PSU or a Computer. PSU can have advantages if USB power delivery is not stable depening on what computer you have.
