Topic: Possible blown preamp, what do you think?

I have a FF800

When I use my condenser mic in my front input 7 with phantom power I have a lot of static even with no noise level in the room.  I use the same cord and mic pluged into a different channel with phantom power and have no static.  When I use a standard dynamic mic with input 7 the noise is gone.  So it would seem to me, although I'm quite the noob, that maybe I have a problem with my preamp phantom power?  Does my unit need to be serviced?

I have developed the exact same problem on my input channel 7, the green light keeps pulsing even though theres nothing in it.  Where and how to get this resolved?
