Topic: Maximum USB cable length for Babyface

I've been told that the maximum USB cable length for the babyface should be around 2m. Can I use a longer USB cable when using the official power supply or do I still have to stick to the 2m - rule like with the Corona Virus ? :-)

the max cable length for USB2 according to standard is 5m.

On gearsluts I found this add-on information:

I haven't heard or read anywhere that it would make a difference in the allowed USB2 cable length
whether you supply the device with its own PSU or use USB bus power.
