Topic: ps5/xboxone with RME

hello, as announced by microsoft the new xbox will drop the optical audio output and i'm afraid sony will do the same with the ps5.
I was happy to use the ps4 spdif optical with my babyface pro with great results..so what will be the workaround if both next gen consoles skip the optical audio port? Using the TV speakers won't do for me obviously...

I am using a cheap HDMI switch which extracts and sends out the audio through its own optical out with great results here, it’s for a Switch and an Apple TV which don’t have optical outs (anymore).

Just search for HDMI Audio Extractor which gives you HDMI to HDMI + Optical Toslink(SPDIF)
