Topic: regarding comfort reverb when recoring a vocal.

Hi, new to RME and looking to buy the RME digiface usb...can someone confirm please that reverb is available for a vocalist during recording (but the reverb is not recorded) and that there is no latency during recording a vocal, ie direct monitoring I believe it's known as.
hope I've explained this correctly,
thank you...

Re: regarding comfort reverb when recoring a vocal.

Sorry, the Digiface USB has no FX chip on board.

See my Excel in this blog article, which interfaces have a FX chip: https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/ind … B-MADIfac/

Excel: https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/index.ph … 0-04-xlsx/

Full implementation of FX chip: MADIface XT, UCX, 802, UFX II, UFX+, HDSPe MADI FX
Partial implementation (dynamics/reverbs rendered on PC by the RME driver): BBF Pro FS, MADIface Pro

Least expensive choice for getting full implementation of FX chip: UCX

But if you really need more channels then you need to take smth in the range of 802, UFX II, UFX+
Please note: 802 is special, the Mic inputs gain is pure analog controlled by potis, you can't store
the gain settings digitally in TM FX snapshots.

If you want to consider MADI: UFX+, best choice / allrounder with DURec !

If you would like to have several MADI busses: Madiface XT, UFX+, HDSPe MADI FX
If you want PCIe and an optimized driver that only allocates driver resources of actually used channels: HDSPe MADI FX

IMHO the very best choice in general terms: UFX+ (with MADI, DURec, Autoset, USB3, Thunderbolt, Class Compliant).
Even supports 30 channels without MADI with USB2 connection to PC.
