Topic: can I use my old Multiface 1 with HDSPe AIO

I own the old Hammerfall HDPE soundcard with the Multiface 1 breakout box connected to an analog mixer (Allen & Heath). Works fine but I want to upgrade the setup by buying an RME HDSPe AIO card. Question is: can I connect the Multiface to the HDPSe, and if so, how? Just connect via ADAT?

So if this is possible I have some further questions: 
- will the ADAT on the Multiface be usable for another 8 inputs on top of the analog inputs of the Multiface (16 in total)?
- will any improvement of the latency (from the HDPE to HDSPe) work with the Multiface?

The Multiface wll only work with one of the 4 special interface cards. It can nt be connected directly to the AIO.
