Topic: Phones sources on the Octamic XTC

Hello,
Can any pair of 2-channels in an 8-channels MADI-in group or ADAT-in or AES-in be freely assigned to the Octamic XTC PHONES output?

I mean, can I assign the first two channels of MADI 1-8 to PHONES 1 and the third and fourth channels of MADI 1-8 to PHONES 2 for instance?

The Octamic XTC user manual says (but does not show) :
"Source [of PHONES output]
[...]
Next choices are single channel and stereo channels of
the digital inputs ADAT, AES and MADI.
"

I guess we can freely assigned any pair, but I would like a confirmation !

Thanks for any clarification,

Regards,
Laurent

Re: Phones sources on the Octamic XTC

You can route what you want to Phones 1 and 2. See page 17.
"Source: Selection of the signal source. Play 1/2 and 3/4 relate to software playback in Class Compliant mode. Mic 1 to 8 provides monophonic monitoring of the selected input, Mic 1/2 to 7/8 the same in stereo. Mic 1-8S performs a mixdown of all 8 input channels to the Phones output. Next choices are single channel and stereo channels of the digital inputs ADAT, AES and MADI"
