Topic: Using Loopback for web chat

Hi there,

I'm doing a webchat with Loopback activated to play music to my recipient. When he is talking he is receiving an echo of his voice, because it is coming through the Software In on my Mac which I have set to Loopback.

I have managed to prevent this echo by using Rogue Amobae Loopback (Test Version), but this comes with a slight delay to the my monitors.

Is there a way to do this with Totalmix alone?

Thanks you,
Michael

Re: Using Loopback for web chat

I think you should be able to solve this by not routing/sending audio
from the application (SW playback channel, middle row) to the HW output (bottom row) with loopback.

Re: Using Loopback for web chat

I was not able to do the routing with Totalmix alone, but I have found 2 solutions:

Hardware only:
Enable Loopback on AN1+2 and send Music via SW Playback on SW 1+2. Select Built In Output from my Mac in the WebRTC call and connect the headphones Out with a cable to Fireface’s In 3+4 to be able to bypass Fireface’s Loopback.

Software:
Send WebRTC‘s output to Blackhole virtual driver and route it with Ladiocast to Fireface‘s In 3+4.
