Topic: Digiface USB send multichannel to my DTS receiver?

Hi!

I have a DM1000 with optical outs and I want to use the onboard surround panning functions with a Digiface USB. Can the Digiface USB can send multichannel (5.1) signals to my receiver's DTS optical input? I see the digiface can output SPDIF so can that carry multichannel information?

Afaik Yes but it must be encoded as dts by the software, the hardware can not encode 5 audio streams to dts.
