Topic: BFP FS to ADI-2 DAC FS?

Currently I use and enjoy the great RME Babyface Pro FS, for listening to music, producing, mixing, playing synthesizers with low latency in Ableton Live, and such. But...I don't record anything, so I use it solely as a DAC and the ADC part of it is completely neglected.

So, my question is...would I benefit somehow, or notice a great difference if I switch to the RME ADI-2 DAC FS?

What about the headphone outputs/AMP? Will I notice a difference?

Thoughts please.

Re: BFP FS to ADI-2 DAC FS?

Yes. If you don't need the ADC, get the ADI-2 DAC. It sounds a little better, and the headphone outs are significantly better. It also has a remote and tons of useful features for listening.

I have both sitting at my computer right now. If I didn't need the guitar and mic inputs, I'd certainly take the ADI-2 DAC over the Babyface Pro FS.

A very nice investment indeed: https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/ind … our-Setup/

A combination of ADI-2 Pro FS R BE and certain RME recording interfaces is also nice, then you can even switch between monitors and phones by using the ARC USB: https://www.tonstudio-forum.de/blog/ind … ort-DE-EN/

Just purchased the ADI-2 DAC FS. I hope I'll be able to hear a difference. The Babyface Pro FS is already incredible.
