Topic: Fireface 400 with 2020 Mac mini - require power adaptor?

Hi there,

I recently purchased a new Mac mini and still wish to use my Fireface 400 unit. I have a connected it to the USB C port via two apple adaptors (thunder bolt to firewire and thunderbolt 3 to thnderbolt 2).

Does anyone know if this set up should be able to power the unit? Before the Fireface was powered directly from my Macbook Pro. I guess I now require an RME adaptor? Before looking for an adaptor however can someone verify?

TB via these adapters does not supply enough current....

Many thanks for confirming Matthias.

I had a look around the RME site and couldn't find anywhere to buy replacement adaptors. I'm waiting on response from Synthax in the UK too.

In the meantime I spotted this from a company MyVolts via ebay:

I would rather purchase directly from RME if ithat option exists. Pleae let me know your thoughts on the above.
