Topic: Original ADI-2 digital pass-thru

I just purchased a 2nd hand ADI-2 (original from 2009/10?). In the manual I can read, beside different AD settings, there also should be a digital pass-thru mode, so AD disabled and digital input signals going directly to digital outputs (and to DA for headphone monitoring). But I can't get to this mode. It should be pressing the input level knob until no LED is on. It doesn't work, I only can choose between the three analog input levels.
I already found out, my ADI-2 is hardware rev. 1.3 (newest would be 1.4), could this be the point?

You at least need a newer firmware in this unit for that feature. But that requires to send the unit in to the factory and will generate costs. IMHO not worth it. You should have bought the newer ADI-2 FS which has this feature plus analog through mode plus volume knob assignable without opening the unit plus better phones output plus...
