Topic: Digiface USB audio stutter/feedback with Catalina

Hi,

I have a strange problem with my Digiface USB sound card; when I playback audio from my computer into my desk using the headphone output from the Digiface, I get these audio stutters that sound like some sort of buffer echo feeding back into itself and getting louder. These outbursts last for about half a second and occur especially when I watch youtube or video files or try to use Digicheck NG with ableton live. My iMac is a 21" 2017 model running 10.15.6.

The audio system hangs for a moment because of overload. Some process is getting all the system attention in that moment. You will find errors in the Mac's log (via Terminal/Console), although that might not identify the real cause. Search this forum for more details.
