Topic: Resetting ASIO driver/device without unplugging them

Hello,
   
     I have been running into some weird latency/distortion issues since the last windows update.

the sound will suddenly seem to be recorded at half of the normal speed or simply very distorted.

I"m still trying to figure out what's the cause of the issue, but it seems like that current solution is to reboot my Babyface Pro FS.

Just curious, is there anyway software/soft way to reboot the device?

I figured unplugging the USB cord every time something goes wrong probably isn't good for the port's longevity.

Changing latency/buffer size in the Settings Dialog could also do the trick.

Same problem here since two weeks after the latest Windows Updates.
Only restarting the PC helps, changing buffer size does not fix this.

I'm on Windows 10 2004, with Cubase 10.5.20, latest RME drivers installed, using UFX with USB connection.

Reset ASIO within Cubase should do it already. If not switching the UFX off/on definitely does.

Reset ASIO within Cubase did not work, switching the UFX off/on I'll try next time the problem occours.
Do you have any clue what's causing this and how this problem can be resolved?

No. Check with Latency Monitor, it might show which process causes the start of the distortion.
