The current 9632 only has an unlabelled, 3-pin connector...so how would this card be connected to the 9652?

So again what do you want to do? Just sync them or also transfer audio between them? What do you want to connect to them, do you have all breakout cables etc?

To answer the question of what I am looking to do; I am trying to sync the clock of the two cards slaving the 9632 from the 9652 as I will be using the 9652 wordclock expansion board to also send clock to my ZOOM UAC8s and RME UFX.
I think that both PCI cards will clock to the computer but I was assuming it would run more smoothly if I used the internal sync and slaved one. If it doesn't improve performance, why would they build the option into these cards?
I hope that this all makes sense?
If you use one host daw with 2 cards they must be in sync, otherwise buffers will eventually go out of sync. If you use different program with each card it is semi unimportant. But if they are somehow digitally connected they must be in sync. Afaik and MC says so internal sync is not possible. So you need one external digital connection for the clocking. Can be adat optical or spdif electrical. You can send signal over the connection too. You still don't mention how many adat ports etc you will use and for what exactly. But I hope this helps enough.
