Topic: Recommendation RME Interface 8+ in/out for Linux and Windows

Hi,

i just sent back a new Fireface UC as I found out there was no way
to make it work with Linux as OS.

The UCX seems to be an alternative, but I am not so sure anymore
as I read about problems here and there and there seem just
2 in/out usable and so on and I mean, it's one grand in the end
and I don't want to try and try.

Any other recommendation for both windows and linux?

Thanks in advance

Not 100% sure, but AFAIK you need for Linux an USB recording interface that is class compliant which is
the case for the UCX but not for the UC.

And if I remember right there are some (potentially older) cards supported by ALSA.

Thanks for your reply! I'll give the UCX a try.
